The Boston Fire Department and the Boston Firefighters Local 718 will hold the inaugural 2016 A. Michael Mullane Health and Safety Symposium May 19-20, 2016 in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Symposium includes two days of informative and interactive workshops elivered by professionals with a vast knowledge of safety and wellness issues specific to the fire service.
Named in honor of the late IAFF District Vice President A. Michael Mullane, who gave 43 years of dedicated service to the Boston Fire Department and to this great union, the Symposium carries forward his legacy by providing all fire fighers the health and safety information they need for a long and prosperous career in this great profession.

The Metro Fire/Arson Investigators Association is a group of public safety professionals that deal with the investigation and prosecution of crimes involving fire and explosions on a Municipal, State, and Federal level. The membership consists of investigators from several police and fire departments, troopers from the State Fire Marshal's Office, agents from the Bureau of ATF, as well as Assistant District Attorneys.
Metro Arson is dedicated to the professional development of the investigative knowledge of its members through seminars, professional speakers, origin & cause determinations, live burn demonstrations, investigative methods and techniques, investigative resources, and criminal procedure.
